XBALL#3 Lockdown Wins D4 Division |
|
On Thursday and Friday July 17-18th 2008 Carolina Lockdown won 1st place in the CFOA's D4 XBALL Division at XBALL #3 in Rock Hill, SC.
Playing our first XBALL Tournament Carolina Lockdown searched the CFOA ranks for 5 guys we knew could play some ball and we found them. Joining Carolina Lockdown for our first CFOA XBALL Event were George "The Executioner" Torres from Boss Factory, Ian Renz from QCK, Andrew Schneider from Clemson Coalition, Slater Keegan from East Coast Mafia, and Matt Martin from Damage, Inc. With the addition of this solid group of guys Lockdown won all 3 games in the prelims and then went 5-0 in Semis and 5-1 in finals to secure our "First" XBALL Championship for the year. Carolina Lockdown also played D4 5-Man on Saturday and won second place. Lockdown still currently sits on top of the D4 division for 2008. Congratulations to the CFOA for another great 4 days of tournament paintball and to all the teams who played this weekend! |

Carolina Lockdown Tarheel Open Report |
|
Carolina Lockdown played this weekend in CFOA's Tarheel Open 5-man Tournament at Carolina Paintball Park in China Grove, NC and made 2 major accomplishments: First they came in 3rd place for the Rookie Division out of 30+ Teams. Second they may have broken a CFOA record of 10 straight podiums. After this weekends results they still sit on the top position in CFOA Rookie Division for the year.
The Lockdown guys went all through prelims without a loss. Playing Demented Theory Militia and BR Boys in Semi Finals they moved on to the Finals by accumulating the points needed. The Lockdown guys then had to face their friends from Boss Factory as well as teams React and Lethal in the finals. Our sister team Boss Factory made up mostly of players from our home field Boss Paintball not only made it to finals for the second time this year but took home first place!!!... It was another great day for Clyde and Jean Hartsell having 2 teams represent Boss Paintball Field in the Rookie Division Finals.
A special thanks to Clyde and Jean from Boss Paintball and Kee Action Sports for their sponsorship. Kee Action Sports provided the paint used in this tournament (Intertia Pro) which definately made an impact. The paint broke so well we didnt see any bounces and it also made for an easy spot by the refs when it hit the opposing players. It was beautiful to watch... We couldn't have done this without you guys!
Also once again, On Sunday three Carolina Lockdown players guested with various teams in CFOA 5-man Beginner and Novice Divisions and had a great time. Austin Thompson played with Kryptonite Gold and Matt Sossoman winning first place in D3, Wesley Kee played with D5 Beginners Gravity Aftermath who dominted again in prelims and fell short in Semi Finals, as well as Ryan Callahan guested with 478 Fury out of Georgia who played some great ball to get 12th place in D5 for the day. Thanks to the teams we guested with for this opportunity! We had a great time playing with you guys! |
